What is Image optimizer?

Optimizing images auto-compresses your store's images without quality loss while optimizing SEO potential through proper alt text.

This helps your site load quickly, pleasing both Google Search and your visitors.

Also it improves your store's visibility in search results.

How to optimize images

🅰️ For existing images (or auto-optimize multiple images)

Go to app Image optimizer

Check how our app will optimize your images. Go to Settings -> click Edit

Customize your settings

⚙️ Image compression

• Compress level: Automatic, High, Medium, Low quality. We recommend using Automatic for the best result.

• Select which images to optimize: Product images, Collection images, Blog images

⚙️ Image alt

In default, we set up alt text for your images in Product, Collection, Blog post and other.

You can customize image alt using variables. (Click </> to use variants.)

⚙️ Optimization schedule

You can schedule to optimize images daily or weekly.

Click Optimize now

It might take time to optimize all your store's image.

We'll email you when it's complete. Click Notify me to enable notification email. (We'll send to the default email of your store)

Go to app Image optimizer

Click Optimize manually (or click Image manager)

Select images you want to optimize

You can select as many images as you want.

Use search bar and filter to find your images.

To display more images per page, scroll down and check the bottom right corner of the table. Select number of images shown per page.

Select actions to apply for selected images

• Optimize all: Compress image size and optimize alt

• Compress image

• Optimize alt text: Keep alt texts SEO-optimized across your store

• Revert: Revert image size and alt text to its original version

Understand optimization results

The Image report shows you the real impact of image optimization on your store. Here's what you'll find:

• Total images compressed

• Total image alt text optimized

• Total storage space saved

Also you can check History to view optimization over time, see storage savings growth or most impactful optimization.
